Neendakara beach is located near Neendakara village in Kollam district 9 KM north of Kollam city in Kerala. It is a famous fishing harbour in Kollam district. A headquarter of Indo-Norwegian Fisheries Community Project is positioned here and this place is considered as the spine of fishing and other marine activities in the region. In the early 16th Century when Portuguese traders settled in Kollam, then their ships passed through the Neenadakara bar. The Neendakara Bridge connects the village to Sakthikulangara across Ashtamudi Lake.
