Wonder La, Kochi: FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

Is Veegaland Kochi and Wonder La Kochi the same?

Yes, both are the same. Veegaland is the old name. Last year, they changed the name to "Wonder La". The management already have an amusement park in Bangalore in the name "Wonder La". Veegaland was renamed to better brand their amusement parks.

Wonder La Park Timings and Admission Rates

What are the rates to visit Wonder La, Kochi?

The rates depend on the season and age. During peak season, the rates are as follows:

Kids below 130 cm: Rs 420
Adults: Rs 520
Senior Citizen: Rs 350

Can we pay by credit card?

Yes, they accept MasterCard and Visa Credit Cards for admission tickets.

Which is the best season to visit Wonder La, Kochi?

This amusement park is primarily for children and young people. Most of them are students and so holidays will be really crowded. Even on non holidays, many schools arrange school trips to this amusement park. I have visited this place many times and I could never find a day which is not crowded.

Wonder La is over crowded during holidays like Summer Vacation, Onam, Christmas, New Year etc. It is better if you take off from work on a day and visit this amusement park to enjoy with relatively lower crowd.

Can we bring food?

Outside food is not permitted in Wonder La, Kochi. But don't worry. There are many restaurants. They serve quality food at very affordable rates, but I have to warn you that they are not the most tasty food in town. You may not find the restaurants out there as a place to experience some best recipes of Kerala!

Unfortunately, there are not many eating places outside the park as well. If you are coming to the park in the morning, I suggest you to eat the breakfast elsewhere like Kakkanad town. You won't find any good restaurants outside and around Wonder La.

What kinds of rides are there?

About 50% of the fun in the Wonder La are water rides. Rest of them include 4D movies, roller coaster, electric car ride, fun for kids, free fall and so on. Senior citizen, pregnant women, people with disabilities etc may find many of the rides not suitable for them.

Can small kids use the rides?

There are very few rides suitable for small kids below 7 year old. Many rides require a minimum height of 110 cm and 130 cm.

What kind of water rides are there?

The water fun in Wonder La includes multiple tube rides like roller coaster, Pendulum ride etc. Some of them expect you to be really brave to try but most of them are lot of fun for kids and adults alike. I enjoyed all except a steep fall on a slider from a pretty big height.

Is there any dress provided at the site?

No, they won't provide any dress for free. There are couple of shops inside and outside from where you can buy shorts and other pool dress. You can bring your own from home, which we did. We used the pool dress bought from Ernakulam. I have seen people in Sarees having fun in the Wave Water Parks.

Two important water fun include the Pool with Waves and the Rain disco. If you love dancing, then go for the rain dance in Wonder La. It is artificial rain but you will see a lot of dances having fun.

Is there locker facility available?

Yes, there are pretty big size lockers available. You can keep your bag, dress, phone etc inside the locker and enjoy the park without any luggage in hand.

Many people seem to be leaving their chappals/shoes/footwear also in the locker. There are several water rides in the park and you cannot use footwear in the water. Instead of leaving your shoes near the entrance of water rides and later searching for it, you can leave it in the locker.

Or, complete other rides with your shoes on and later put them in to locker when you are ready to go to the water rides.

Is photography and camera allowed?

Yes, you can carry your camera and take photos. There is no charge for the camera. However, camera and photography is not allowed near the pools and water rides. This is to avoid abuse and you know what the people would do if camera is allowed near swimming pools!

Is there any specific order we have to go through the rides?

They have given directions to follow but you can go in any order you want.

The entire crowd will reach the water rides by afternoon. If you can go to the water rides first and rest of the rides in the afternoon, you can skip the crowd.
