It is one of the largest archeological museums of Kerala which is located in Tripunithura, Kochi. Built in 1865, this museum consists of almost 49 buildings, all built in traditional and ancient architectural style. This palace is spread over 54 acres land. This is the first heritage museum of Kerala which is renowned for the royal collection of the erstwhile Maharaja of Kochi. Hill Palace Museum houses a deer park and offers endless facilities for horse riding.

This is a must – visit destination and is known for its traditional and eye- catching architecture. The campus of this museum is home to several rare species of medicinal plants. This palace is almost 12 km from the Ernakulam mainland and can be easily approached by road and rail. The tickets are very cheap i.e. just Rs 30 for adults and Rs 10 for children.
How to Reach
One can easily reach this place from Ernakulam railway station which is located at a distance of about 10 KM. Also, this museum can be easily approached by the Cochin international airport which is just 33 km away from the Hill Place Museum. If you are a local resident of Tripunithura then you can easily reach this place by hiring any private conveyance.

Timings & Season
The visiting hours are 9:00 am to 12:30 pm and then 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm. Hill Palace Museum is generally closed on every Monday. The visitors can easily plan their trip to this place without getting bothered about the season.
