Located in Idukki district, Vattavada is a small village and tourist destination of Kerala region. It is situated in the eastern side of the Western Ghats and almost 45 km away from Munnar. This place is almost 6500 feet above the sea level and offers a refreshing experience to its visitors. Apart from being a major tea plantation, this village is a predominant supplier of vegetables that occupy terraced slopes and valleys of Vattavada. It is interesting that this place receives plenty of the sunshine and the temperature in winters never dips below the unbearable levels.

How to Reach
Vattavada is well – connected by all the main roads, rail, and air. One can reach this place either from Ernakulam junction which is almost 130 km from Munnar or from Cochin International airport which is just 110 km away from Munnar. After reach Munnar, one can hire the private vehicle such as taxi or cab so as to reach this place.
