Located in Munnar, Tea Museum is one of the well – known tourist destinations in Kerala region. This museum is also known as Nalluthani Estate and Kannan Devan Tea Museum. Set up in Nalluthani estate, this is a fitting tribute to the pioneers who showed an utmost determination and were resolute in their efforts to transform Munnar into a major plantation center of Kerala. Tea Museum portrays the gradual growth of Munnar tea estates. This place is about 4 to 5 km from Munnar town and it is easily accessible to the visitors.
Visitors to the museum can satiate their curiosity on various stages of tea processing and can also learn about the production of black tea – which is the major beverage of India. A section of this museum also houses the classic typewriters, bungalow furniture, phone, iron oven etc. A demonstration room for tea tasting is yet another attraction of this place. The tourists can also pluck the tea leaves and process the same in the presence of museum authorities.

The visiting hours are 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. the museum remains open on all the weekdays except Monday and Good Friday. Tea Museum can be visited in almost all seasons of the year.
