Picnic Village is located at Ashramam, two kilometers away from Kollam town having the backwater frontage.The main attraction of the village is a 200-year-old Government Guest House which is famed for its elegance and architectural beauty. Along with this old Government guest house, an adventure park, a tourist boat club, a children's traffic park and a Yatri Nivas is run by Kerala Tourism Development Corporation and offers accommodation to the tourists at an affordable price.

There are many types of boats, which include luxury cruise boats, power and motor boats which can be hired from the jetty close to the adventure Park.
