Irupu waterfalls can be easily reached from Mysore through Virajpet at a distance of 120 kilometers. From Bangalore, this place is 260 kilometers away. The falls is also accessible from Kerala through Mananthavady-Gonikoppal road. The nearest airport is at Mysore.


The place can be a good option as a picnic spot, in a relaxing natural atmosphere. Adventurous travelers can try trekking to Narimale Base Camp and to Brahmagiri Peak which needs prior permission from forest officials. All kinds of flaura and fauna are found in Brahmagiri forest including Elephants, Deers, Bisons etc.
