Hi friends, I am Pratap from Jaisalmer India and have joined India Travel Blog to connect with like mind travel enthusiasts. My home town is Jaisalmer, which is also known as the Golden City of India as all homes here are built with yellow sand stones. And thus, Jaisalmer shine with golden color if seen from some distance.Jaisalmer is also one of the best desert sites in India where we have Sam sand dune and Khuri sand dune area. At these dunes, you will find 30-60 meters dunes which are stunning, and travelers come here in millions to enjoy desert safari (Camel and Jeep).

Best time to visit Jaisalmer is from October to March, as only in these months, you will find desert camps, and the weather is excellent as compared to summer in Jaisalmer. At these camps, you can also enjoy a musical dance program which is organized every day by these camps. The cost of one night stay at these camps are around Rs 5000, but you can skip night stay here and go back to a hotel in Jaisalmer city.
