Kumbh Mela is a mass pilgrimage event in India, where believers gather to take bath in a river which has been considered to be holy by them. Kumbh happens once in 12years, and majorly there are four Kumbh Melas - Prayagraj (Allahabad) Mela, Haridwar Mela, Nashik Kumbh Mela, and Ujjain Kumbh Mela; named as per the location where it happens. At Allahabad, it will be held in the confluence of three rivers Ganges, Yamuna, and the now invisible Saraswati; in the Ganges at Haridwar, in the Godavari at Nashik, and in Shipra at Ujjain. Date of this mass gathering called Kumbh Mela will be finalised based on certain special zodiac positions, by astrologers. However, Kumbh Mela not only attracts pilgrims but also numerous travellers from all over the world.
