Increasing number of Israeli tourists in Hrishikesh

During the last fifteen years or so, whenever I have visited Hrishikesh, I have noted that the number of Israeli tourists has been increasing. I have seen that at Muni-ki-reti and Lacchmanjhula localities, there are many hotels almost fully occupied by Israeli tourists. In front of some hotels and restaurants, I have even seen boards in Hebrew. Of course, I can't distinguish or read Hebrew, but the hotel-managers clarified to me that the language was Hebrew.

I am curious to know the reason behind the increasing number of Israeli tourists in Hrishikesh. Why do they come to this place in increasing numbers? Or is this phenomenon happening all over Uttarakhand?

Based on the natural beauty, food habits and local culture of the people, Israeli tourist have preferred some of the places in India and a number of them visit there. These places are Manali, Kasol, Pushkar, Dharamkot, Malana etc. Many of these places are in Himachal Pradesh. In Uttarakhand also they are visiting places like Kausani, Almora, Hrishikesh etc but not in large numbers.
