Long back one of my colleagues went from Kolkata to Guwahati and it took 2-3 days in that road journey through Kishanganj and part of NH27. Today the road conditions are far better and as per information available in internet one can cover this distance in almost 24-26 hours. NH27 is still the best route to be followed.
