There are 3 watch towers in Kumarakom bird sanctuary. One of them is sort of abandoned and you can't really reach it unless you deviate from the paved walking trails. From the watch towers, you can see hundreds of birds in the bird sanctuary, also known as Vembanad Bird Sanctuary.
