About Arambol Beach in Goa


Arambol Beach is one of the most naturally maintained beautiful beaches of North Goa the others being Vagator, Ppalolem and Anjuna. This place is located at about a few kilometers from the city of Mapusa and that too within the Pernem region of North Goa. Winter season it seems is the best time for the whole world to reach Goa and that too particularly the Christmas and the new year time.

Many international tourists come to the beaches in Goa during the Christmas and the new year time and the hippie travelers get attracted to this Arambol beach for the bohemian feel which is no more there in the other famous beaches of Goa. Nearby Attractions


While you walk down the beach you can see a smaller one with a fresh water lake located very close to the sea. There is a banyan tree hidden in between the jungle valleys and just near to the banyan tree there is a stone sculpture created by an American Conceptual and Land art artist Jacek Tylicki, called as Money Stone. This has become a pilgrimage spot after that. Hindus and Christians are the major communities seen living here. Our Lady of Mount Carmel is a famous church in the area and the mother Mary is called Saibinn Mai in the Konkani Language.

How to Reach the beach


You can travel by buses from Mapusa and Chopdem to Arambol. Dabolim Airport is the nearest airport. you can also hire taxis and autos for travelling from one beach to the other.

Accommodations at Arambol Beach


There are not many big hotels or resorts in the beach. You can find only some guest houses here. It would be better if you could stay there either at Anjuna or Vagator and then drive down either by autos or buses. You can find Famafa Beach Resort and Hotel Santa Maria to stay if you really want to.

Tourists visiting this state should not skip the magnificent Dudhsagar Waterfalls in Goa which is enroute to Goa when coming from Karwar, Mangalore or Cochin.
