Palolem Beach is located about 2 kilometers from Chaudi, the market town and is placed at 40 kilometers from Margao. This beach is also close to Karnataka that it takes only about an hour's drive from Karwar. It is located at about 70 kilometers from Panaji, the capital city of Goa. About the Palolem Beach
This Beach has the distinction of being the most beautiful beach among the 83 kilometer long sandy beaches of Goa. This beach is in Canacona of South Goa in India. This is a unspoilt beach and is inhabited mostly by the fishermen and the foreign tourists who live in the shacks along the shore and also in the main village.
The beach is about a kilometer long and crescent shaped so that you can see one end to the other. Both sides of the crescent has jutting rocks and the depth also increases gradually making the northern parts shallowest as well as the safest even for the average swimmers.

Dabolim airport is about an hour's drive from here and the nearest railway station is Canacona. Canacona is at a 10 minutes drive away from the Palolem Beach.
The easiest thing you could do is to fly to dabolim or travel by train to Margao / Madgaon. You can get prepaid taxis from the airport as well as the railway station to Palolem. f you are travelling by bus it would be better for you to get a bus from the Margao bus stand to either Palolem or Canacona. If you are alighting at the canacona Bus stand you can take an auto rickshaw to Palolem which is only just about 5 kilometers,. The journey from Margao to Palolem Beach by bus will be quite comfortable and takes about an hour and a half. Activities at the beach
You can enjoy various water sports here at the Palolem Beach like Bike tours, boat cruises and driving. You can have wine and fenny in the restaurants at Palolem Beach. You can find restaurants specialising in seafood and Goan cuisines . If you drop into the dolphin spots you will find them charming. Accommodation
