Today, I am heading to Divine Euphoria Farm Land vacation stay place at Kanakapura. This is my third visit in the last one year to the property after I bought a farmhouse plot there. The place is still under development and a lot of work is still in progress. Once the complete the development, I am sure to visit the farm house more often.

If you haven't heard of Divine Euphoria, here are some details: It is one of a kind farmland vacation stay project near Bangalore. If you are looking for a weekend destination near Bangalore and if you love farmhouse and farm stay, Divine Euphoria is the place to go. It is a proposed farmland style resort with common amenities like swimming pool, clubhouses, library, meditation centre, indoor and outdoor games, animals, pets, fishing, boating etc. It is located in a very beautiful place surrounded by hills on all sides and is located near Kavery fishing destinations. You can buy small plots and build your own vacation home/farmhouse or rent a vacation home for an overnight stay or just visit the place for daytime fun (not ready for public use yet).
If all of the amenities promised by the developers are built, this is expected to become of the best vacation stay places in the state. The initial pace of development looks very promising and we have to wait and see whether this pace will continue till the end.
If you are coming from Bangalore, Divine Euphoria is located on the Sangam road after Kanakapura. It will take about 1.5 hours drive from Bangalore, depending on what time of the day you travel and from which part of Bangalore you are coming from.

I am typing this sitting in the car on the way to Kanakapura. I started from my home in Sarjapur Rd at 8:45. I suggested the cab driver go via NICE road, but he chose to go through Kanakapura Rd from Outer Ring Rd, probably to save the toll at NICE rd even though I would have paid it.
I started at 8:45 in the morning. Traffic was pretty bad at that time. However, we managed to get out of Bangalore city limits within 45 minutes. Traffic was low and we were able to drive pretty fast from there until we reached Kanakapura town limits. Due to the heavy traffic in Bangalore area, we took about an hour to reach Kanakapura town.
From Kanakapura town, we have to take a left turn towards Sangam. It is located at about 12 km in the Sangam Rd towards Kavery river and the fishing camps. Even though the road is a state highway, it is pretty narrow and it took about 20 minutes to reach the farmland from Kanakapura town, in addition to spending about 10~15 minutes in the traffic at Kanakapura.
I reached the farmland in the afternoon after spending some time at Kanakapura town for some other purpose and spent the rest of the day there enjoying the beauty of nature. Divine Developers, the developers of the farmland project started this project about 1.5 years ago. They promised completion of the project within 2 years, which already passed. I believe about 50% of the work is done and the remaining work is in progress. According to the developers, the farmland will be ready for fun and entertainment by end of 2012, which I believe is not going to happen. Honestly, I would be happy if the project reaches completion by end of 2013.
They have built a couple of cottages of various styles as model homes. Also, some of the customers have started building farmhouse style cottages. The variety of cottages coming up there are really worth seeing it.

My overall review of this property is, it is an excellent location and is a unique vacation concept in India. Farmland tourism is quite new to India and I think there are not many other farmland projects around Bangalore. In fact, as far as I know, there is no other typical farmhouses for fun and entertainment like this one. Many other projects which I have seen are not really farmlands even though they are marketed as farmland. Divine Euphoria is not suitable for everyday living due to lack of schools/colleges/hospitals/offices in the area but is an ideal location for a weekend destination or corporate team building activities. If you like to have some fun with family or friends, you can head to Divine Euphoria.
Hopefully, the developers will complete all the amenities promised by them in a timely manner and will make this a good vacation destination in the near future.
