Nehru zoological park
The Nehru zoological park is named after our first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru and it was opened for public on October 6, 1963. The zoo area is spread over about 380 acres and more than 1000 animals can be found in the Nehru zoological park. It is a well maintained zoo in India and a plastic free zone. Previously, there was a facility to use one's own vehicle to roam inside the park, but it is stopped now due to security reasons. There are eco-friendly vehicle rides available and bicycles are available for rent to the tourists to visit different areas of the zoo park.

There are many attractions in the zoo and I personally enjoyed the safari trips and the nocturnal house. This Zoo maintains many varieties of animals and birds. This zoo is also house to many reptiles like different types of snakes and variety of lizards. Huge varieties of birds are also present in this zoo. The White Tiger is one of the main attractions of this zoo. One more attraction of this zoo is many different species of nocturnal animals and birds can be seen from close. Huge Elephants, Giraffes, Hippopotamus, Rhinoceros, Deers, Bears, Lions and other animals are also present in this zoo.
There is a white tiger which is very attractive and everyone likes to spend time watching this tiger. Another attraction is a naughty sloth bear, which was very active and was entertaining us by swimming and playing in the water. The bird zone also is very beautiful in the Nehru zoological park.
During the safari trip, we saw tigers, lions and bears very nearly and it was highly adventurous for me with a lot of fear and anxiety.
