Distance from Ernakulam to Munnar is about 140 km (125km from Airport). Typical taxi rate is Rs 13 per km for one way, which can go up to Rs 17 per km, depending on the type of the car and the agency you approach. Even if you hire a taxi for one way, you still have to pay for the return fare, which will make it about 270 km.

Need info for travelling from Cochin airport to Munnar. we are 8 in total and spending 4 days in Munnar. Although our sole intention is not travelling around but spending lazy time in Munnar. So kindly suggest what mode of transport should we prefer.... Hire a car or just take one-way taxi (which can accommodate all 8 of us).
