In the year 2007, a series of bomb blast occurred in Hyderabad city of Andhra Pradesh state, India. About 44 people were killed and at the same time 60 were injured. Among the blasts, 2 occurred in the evening hours in laser auditorium, an additional facility constructed in the Lumbini Park to enhance the inflow of visitors. At the time of incident about 500 people were present in the auditorium. After this incidence, the park was reopened to the visitors after installing metal detectors.
