Attractions at Freedom Park Bangalore

1. The exterior wall of Freedom Park, Bangalore: This wall is itself a place to pause and stare! Known as the Freedom Wall, this blue wall is quite imposing and is, in fact, a perfect signboard, so to say, which marks the location of Freedom Park, Bangalore.

2. The Jail section of Freedom Park:
(a) You can view the Cells Yard where under-trial inmates were held. There are plenty of messages & drawings etched in the walls of the corridors. At the entrance of the Cells Yard Freedom Park there is a gallows structure. Go to the first cell in the yard and peer in at the mannequin inside – you will probably shiver! The barracks area has mostly been revamped into recreational spots, but some have been retained in their original state.

(b) You can climb up to the old watch tower at Freedom Park, from where you will get a superb bird's eye-view of the entire Freedom Park. At one time, this tower housed the office of the Chief Warden.

3. The Jail Museum of Freedom Park: This museum was at one time the Central Jail. Today, it is home to images of the old jail. Don't forget to have a look at the jail visitor's books for some entries of a previous era. Work is in progress to have art gallery incorporated in the area of the two walls which lead to the watch tower. Running parallel to each other, these walls will form an ideal space to showcase art works.

4. Book Museum and Tree Museum: These museums are likely future tourist spots at Freedom Park Bangalore.
