The greenery of Tripura is notwithstanding. The state possesses five important destinations for nature tourism. Sepahijala Wild life Sanctuary
The Sephahijala Wild life Sanctuary is located at a distance of 25 kilometers away from the capital city Agartala and it is on the Agartala – Udaipur main road.
The sanctuary offers a host of entertainments to tourists –
They can explore the many precious species of Flora and Fauna available in the Sanctuary like orchids, rubber tree, and coffee and many more things in the Botanical garden. The sanctuary is a spectacular habitant of about 150 species of colourful birds. It harbours the migratory birds. The famous spectacled monkey present in the sanctuary is its added beauty. The population of other wildlife is also noteworthy. Moreover, the sanctuary is equipped with boating facility in the water body and elephant riding for tourists.Trishna Wildlife Sanctuary
Trishna Wildlife Sanctuary is located in Belonia, a subdivision of South Tripura district. It is 100 kilometers away from the capital city Agartala.
Tourists over here can enjoy the abundance of the rare animal Bison along with other animals and colourful birds.Gomati Wildlife Sanctuary
It is a big sanctuary of area about 390 square kilometers located at the south east corner of the South Tripura district. Gomati is at about 40 kilometers away from Agartala.
A large number of tourists gathered to witness a large variety of birds including winter visitors at Gumti hydel reservoirs, hundreds of varieties of large plants, Climbers, climber shrubs and herbs,inhabitant of wild lives – Elephant, Bison, Sambar, Barking deer, wild goat, reptiles etc. Primate species – Hoolook gibbon, slow loris, the capped langur, phayres langur are another attraction for tourists.Rowa Wildlife Sanctuary
It is a small wildlife sanctuary situated in the north Tripura district. It can be reached from Panisagar and is adjacent to the national highway. It is 150 kilometers away from Agartala.
Tourists can have experience here the presence of a large variety of flora and more than 150 species of colourful birds, wild beasts and primates.Jampu Hill
It is the highest hill range in Tripura bordering Mizoram. The hiil is about 200 kilometres away from Agartala.
