Moreover most of the animal enclosures which exist in this Himalayan Nature Park are larger in size compared to various other enclosures in rest of the Indian zoo. Himalayan Nature Park is located on a tiny yet beautiful hill stations in India, which is Kufri. This park is around 19 km from Shimla and is spread amidst 90 hectares of dense vegetation within the Himalayan Peaks. Himalayan Nature Park is set at an altitude of 2600 m above sea level.

The rich and dense vegetation of Himalayan Nature Park comprises of Fir-Spruce and Oak. Many herbaceous species keep sprouting depending upon the climate amidst these big trees. Few of these species also include flowering plants such as Primulas, geraniums, potentillas, balsam, ground orchid and many such which bloom over till September adding their fragrance and magic to the existing beauty of the Park. The animal species present in the Himalayan Nature Park include Musk Deer, Bharal, Tibetan Wolf, Leopard cat, Sambhar, Barking Deer, Cheer pheasant, monal, white crested kaleej and many more than over 180 species.
How to reach Himalayan Nature Park
The nearest airport for Himalayan Nature Park is Jubbarbhatti Airport in Shimla which is around 19 km away from the park. One can avail taxis and buses from this airport. The nearest rail road is Shimla through narrow gauge and Kalka through broad gauge. By road too one can easily reach Himalayan Nature Park as there are many state transport buses as well private buses from Shimla, Delhi, Kufri and many other places.When to visit Himlayan Nature Park
