International Sports Quiz known also as Quiz world cup is the biggest tournament in the field of Quiz. India has been participating in it till 1972 Thus India has also hosted this oncein4year tournament 6 times including last time in 2000 whereas only one time India had reached semis at its hosting. India lost terribly the last time it organised in Quarters to Guatemala, so still that hosting haunting continues to roam those who play this tournament at present However India last time won this tournament in 2008 in Barcelona defeating New Zealand in finals with 5 rounds to 4 rounds, winning it respectively.
This time in 2016 it is again happening in India, the venues are Nagpur, Kota, Aurangabad, Shilong, Budhagarh, Vishaka Patnam, Shoklagadi, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Hadrabad, Ahmedabad, Siligudi, Kolkata and Rohtak All matches of India have been decided in Nagpur, Hosaval, Jaipur and Kota in Maharashtra and Rajisthan However the semis in Kolkata and finals in Mumbai, so it would be great experience to lead India in this tournament.
According to the regulations of International Quiz Federation and rational Minds Corporations in order as it is concerned 48 teams participate in the tournament from 6 continents and to represent 7th continent, each group has one wild card entry from any of the other 6 continents Everyday 14 rounds take place with respective of 2 games in each rounds as well as everyday the facing groups change so the teams can face all groups, Thus in this way this one week festival is really exciting to look forward.
As I have grown up watching this happen, So it's my soul dream to see myself winning it this time being Indian quiz captain at large, I come to quizzing in 2009 and started playing for India at the end of my completion of the higher secondary education, so Let's hope we can bring back the locals to the country as it's being hosted here at high stage with great efforts of Indian central government and cooperation of all organising platforms.
