Valanjanganam Waterfalls (also known as Ninnumullippara) is located along the highway in Thekkady - Alappuzha route, near Kuttikkanam. This is an interesting waterfall and is along the highway itself. It is a good viewpoint and picnic place as well. The waterfall is about 75 ft in height and is usually covered in mist. The place itself is about 3200 ft above sea level. Even though there is a danger board that says do not get into the water, a lot of people seem to be taking a quick bath in the crystal clear and cold water from the waterfall. A lot of people stand in the middle of the road to take photos, which is a bit dangerous since approaching vehicles may not notice the people standing in the middle of the road in the turning.
