Hello Friends I am back again after long hospitalization due to Dengue fever. Today I am going to explore and provide information about one of the Cool, Peaceful and nice city of India, which is also an Education Hub of Gujarat and called sanskari Nagari. Yes, I am talking about Vadodara (Earlier known as Baroda), it is located in Central Gujarat part and Heart of Gujarat. Very well located and connected with all major cities of India. This is only one city which is connected with all metro and major cities through train, road and air. Here u can get trains for Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Maharashtra, Saurashtra and Kutch, North and South Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh. This way Vadodara has its very good importance geographically. It is an Educational Hub of Gujarat like Pune in Maharashtra, The famous Maharaja Sayaji Rao University is located here. It have all kind of educational facilities and courses are offered. Now a days it is an Industrial Hub also for chemical and process industries. There is lots of refineries and other industries located in Baroda now a days incl. Bombardier, Thermax, Visa, HPCL, Atos etc. Vadodara is also a Garden city, this city has lots of big and small gardens with lots of verities of trees, flowers and other spices and facilities. This city is cool and peaceful city with very less night life, because majority peoples are service class. Now I can say about Vadodara how to reach and what are the things to do and what kind of transportation and food are available. Vadodara is easily reachable from all metros and major cities of India, Vadodara has its own international airport and good train and bus station. Flights from Mumbai and Delhi are more and almost 11 flights are there from these places. Also flights for Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Chennai etc. are available in connection or with one stop. Trains If I say superb connectivity from all places and lots of trains are there. Same way buses are also connecting this city with all centers in India. Ahmedabad one of the mega city is hardly 100 kms. Far from here so u can catch flights from there also. Vadodara is 550 kiss far from Mumbai, 100 Kms from Ahmedabad, 100 kms from Surat. This city is located on bank of Viswamitri River which is one of the big in Gujarat. Regarding local transportation it has all cab services, auto service and city bus services. Area of city is hardly 16 kms so not difficult to travel internally. Food yes it is a specialty of Gujarat and Vadodara also. Famous one is Lillo Chevdo (wet Mixture) and Bhakharvadi are very well famous of this city and only mfg. in this city. Vadodara is also exporting above two thigs in big ways. Famous one is jagdish farsan and payal farsan for the same. Also other famous things are ussal pav, tam tam of shri ram, khaman and ice khaman, poha with sev and kanda and specially Gujarati Thali of Mandpap, sasuma or mohanthal. There is lots of restaurant for thali. Must try ice cream of raj deep and satyanarayana or cold coco of mahavir. Now I will give information about the places to visit in Vadodara. First of all Central Bus Station itself is one of the place to see with cleanness and new look like mall. Famous one is Laxmi villas palace residence of Maharaja Sayaji Rao Gayakwad, now a days it is a tourist point with exhibition hall and other facilities. Sur Sagar Lake which is located in center of city is also famous to visit in evening time to see lord shiv statue in between lake. Mandvi gate is also old heritage place to see and also Nagar darvaja and court building is heritage one to visit. Raopura tower clock is also famous to see. Ajajwa nimeta garden and water dam is famous to see with musical fountain show in evening. There is two amusement park and Water Park which are also famous. Kamati bag, Sayaji Bag etc. are big gardens with all activities for kids and toy trains are famous to visit. Zoo in kamati bag and museum are too good to visit and worthful. All local market and city area with pols are also good experience to take. In nearby area most famous one is pavagadh temple which is located on hill and rope way is there to reach is famous, hardly 70 kms for here and good transportation facilities are available. Jambughoda sanctuary is also good to see it is near to pavagadh only and it is very good for one night stay with nature in forest. Chapner is also near to pavagadh to see fort and other heritage buildings. Kabirvad which is a place with big banyan tree on bank of river Narmada with also good place. Anand city which is 60 kms far from here is also good to see mainly Amul Dairy and university. Also sardar Patel’s home and other places are famous to visit. Best time to visit Vadodara is from October to February which is winter time with less heat, in summer too hot reach up to 48 degree centigrade, monsoon time is also good but heavy rains are there in this area. October at the time of Navratri is best to see the best garba of Gujarat also. Shopping in Vadodara is also good thing mainly chaniya choli for garba is very much famous , saree and dress of Guajarati style is also famous here as NRI peoples are more u can get lots of verities of the same. So must visit once Vadodara when u are planning to visit Gujarat state. It is a lovely, charming, cool and peaceful city with lovely peoples. I have visited Vadodara to see Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad's Palace. I think it is such a beautiful and historic place. will suggest everyone to visit once. I also enjoyed dal batti churma it was my first time trying it. It is a clean city. i have even visited Surat. Loved the Place.
