What to Wear on Your Trip to Rajasthan

In this article, I am going to elaborate on what to wear on your trip to Rajasthan with a Royal Backdrops of Forts and lakes. To get the best clicks in the Land of kings it is always good to dress like a Diva.

We all travel as per our interests, our partner's interest, sometimes just because to verify if the things which we have read are true or not or sometimes we just love to take our pictures with the beautiful backdrop(and it has to be different all together every time).

My reason for the travel is more of the last one of above list.Indeed I love to experience the different culture but I cherish my memories being into those backdrops.

Recently we had an anniversary celebration trip to Rajasthan including Jaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, and Udaipur. Rajasthan is known for the Land of Kings. Everything there is so Royal and magnificent that the complete experience is so awful. As nobody from my friend circle had covered all the four places, I was concern about what to wear to look fabulous in the pics.

I do watch so many films and had a rough idea about it. But still, I can't wear clothes like Film characters like Jodha ór Mastani.

Here are some affordable and quick tricks which I have personally tried while my trip to Rajasthan and it turned out to be the awesome click and the best poses to be clicked in Rajasthan.

  1. Pack those Anarkalis

  2. We Indians have those anarkalis which we last used for our relative's wedding. Yes yes, those heavy one with the brightest color like Pink, Aqua Blue, Green, red or even Black.
Rajasthan is full of Architecture which resembles Mughal Architecture especially Jaipur, Jodhpur. A Royal touch in your dressing will really suit the Royal Background which is made up of that small minakari work.
You will surely stand apart from the everyday crowd.
Also, try those stagy Jumkas with minimal makeup.
  3. A big Yes for Ankle Length Skirts

  4. We all girls have that at least one ankle length skirt or wrap around skirt. Trust me it will be really cool to have those twirling pic.
  5. Big No for pencil Skirt

  6. Rajasthan is a little conservative city. Although there are many foreigners visit during pick season but for us using Pencil Skirt is really irritating. As it is so hot during daytime it will leave your legs with the tanning patch mark. Also, it is difficult to carry while visiting the forts.
  7. Denim or Hot Pants best for Dessert Safari or Camel Ride

  8. It looks really nice wearing denim or Hot Pants in a dessert with cold shoulder top and nice snickers. It's very comfortable to carry as well in case if you going for Camel Ride or Dessert Jeep Ride.
You can even wear a black evening gown in case if you want some nice pics with your partner in a sunset.
  9. Try that Boho look with Metal Oxide jewellery

  10. It really gives a swag impact with the Alibaba or Heram Pants and a colorful turban like Rajasthani people do.
P.S: to make your own turban just buy a Bandhani Shrug which you will get for Rs.200/- anywhere in a market and tie like a turban. You will save your money on the readymade purchase of Turban.
  11. No Sarees Please

  12. If you are planning on chiffon sarees please think twice. It really looks nice but its all about how you carry it. I was personally not comfortable to manage that. Believe me, it really doesn't look like sarees which we really see in Bollywood Movies :-P
  13. Time Matters

  14. It really matters a lot on which time you are visiting the places. Choose for a time between 7 AM to 11 AM or 4 PM to 6.30 PM. This will really get you the effect you want. You will be less tired because of no harsh sunlight.

So get fresh and create your memories with these wonderful tips in the Royal atmosphere of Rajasthan.
