Rajkot, a colourful city of Gujarat


Rajkot is known as a Mini Mumbai. It is very much famous for its lifestyle, food, Nightlife, festival celebrations and much more. Rajkot has it's historical importance also. People are very much jolly in nature and hospitality is too good in Rajkot. Visit once and you will be in love with Rajkot.

Rajkot - it is a very famous city among people of Gujarat for its lifestyle, Festival celebration and holiday trend, Food and Nightlife. It is also known as a Mini Mumbai or Gujarat.

It is located 240 km. from Ahmedabad towards East direction. Rajkot is one of the biggest city in Gujarat. Population wise it is the 4th city of Gujarat.

The city is very well connected by Road with almost all city of Gujarat, Mumbai, Pune, Rajasthan. It is also connected with Mumbai and Delhi through Air. There are daily 4 flights for Mumbai and 1 flight for Delhi. By train, it is connected with Mumbai and other cities in India.

Historically, Rajkot has its own importance. National Father Shri Mahatma Gandhi studied in Rajkot and on his name there is school "Mahatma Gandhi school" in Rajkot. Earlier it was known as Alfred High School. It has old historical Gardens, Library and towers.

People or Rajkot are very much jolly in nature and always ready to celebrate any festival or any religion with full of energy and enjoyment. They are celebrating Janmastmi festival for one week time, Ganesh festival for 10 days, Diwali festival for one week time and Christmas for one week time also. People of Rajkot are peace-loving people.

Here major business and industrial areas are closed for lunchtime 1 pm to 3 pm daily which is a unique trend of Rajkot. yes in a night they work till late.

The nightlife of Rajkot is very much famous. hardly few places are there for hanging out but whole night u can see people seating and chat with each other on race course ring road which is a very much famous place.

Food is the main attraction here. People are food lovers here and surprisingly you will get any kind of food 24 x 7 in Rajkot. if you want to eat snacks or a full meal at night at 2 AM, then also you will get the same.

There are lots of food joints and tea stalls in Rajkot in a kilometre area, you will find at least 10 tea and snacks joints. Similar way you will find 15 Pan store in the same area. People of Rajkot are Pan lovers and you will find 9 out of 10 people who are continuously eating Pan.

There are lots of good hotels now a day for a stay. Pizzahut, a famous chain opened the world's first outlet in Rajkot which serves the only veg. items. 90% of Rajkot people are pure vegetarian.

For sightseeing, there are few places in Rajkot like race course ring road and garden, cricket stadium, aji dam and zoo, Swaminarayan temple and Iskon temple etc. old places like Leng library, jubilee garden, old afraid high school, four old famous towers etc.

local transportation is little bit weak point here as the majority are using their own two and four wheeler here. you can get auto rickshaw on higher but with too much pricing as there is no meter system. local city buses are there but with less frequency and less route covered by it. cab you can get on higher also.

In food speciality, you can get all the best taste and food here. a famous one is Fafda Gathiya with fried chilli and a chopped salad of raw papaya and carrot. jalebi with fafada is also famous. Bhajiya, Bhel, Ghughara, Ragada petis are famous for snacks. For meal kathiyawadi food is very much famous and you can get an original taste here like sev tomato, Ringan bhartha, dhokali , bajri rotlo, salad, homemade butter, gud, buttermilk etc.

Peoples are food lovers so food is very much tasty and varieties are available here.

Rajkot is also famous for its Engineering industries and workmanship. It is famous for a diesel engine, automobile parts, machine and all engineering mfg. People or Rajkot are too good in technical knowledge and workmanship. they deliver best products at a lesser price. It is now famous for CNC machine mfg. also.

A major community is Patel and they are involved in agriculture and industries. Groundnut is one of the major production in Rajkot and groundnut oil is famous of Rajkot. You must visit Rajkot one and you will be in love with the city and people. People are of helping nature and always be ready to give the best hospitality.

Oh, my heart can't handle the cuteness of Rajkot! 🥰 This "Mini Mumbai" is overflowing with vibrant colors, delicious food, and a bustling nightlife that keeps the city alive. I can imagine the jolly and peace-loving people of Rajkot spreading the joy of festivals with their full energy and enthusiasm. And the 24/7 availability of food, especially those Fafda Gathiya and Jalebi treats, has me drooling! 🤤 I'm already falling in love with Rajkot just by reading about it. I can't wait to visit and experience the warmth and hospitality of the people there! 😍❤️
