Well, if that is so – how could our hometown – Jaipur – be far behind in the fashion? It is after all the capital city of the largest state of the country and hence we have one in our city too. The restaurant goes by the name – Om Towers – and is located right in the city center amidst the most post localities of the city. The restaurant is part of an upscale hotel which offers various room options to guests visiting the city. Nearness to tourist attractions and business centers makes this hotel a favored place by many.

We recently visited the restaurant for a lunch outing and to ensure we do not remain away from this specialty of our city. Therefore, we were there at the reception of the hotel one afternoon and enquired about a seat for two. We were soon heading up in a glass elevator and were quickly ushered to our seats. The staff seemed nice and the service was courteous and we kind of liked the place from its first look. We settled ourselves and glanced at the menu – the prices seemed reasonable too for the most part of it. We chose our pick and placed our order.

The order was delivered pretty quickly and serving was good. We were impressed until the moment we dug our spoon in the curry. As soon as we tasted the curry we realized that this place could be more show than substance. However, we still had hope and hence we asked the staff to change the curry. To our surprise, they did not resist us at all. Soon we were served a replacement but to our utter dismay, the second was as bad, if not more than the first one. We finally gave up on the curry and finished our lunch, apart from the curry. We finished the meal with a decent dessert.

Throughout the meal, we never ever felt that there was anything in the service which we could point fingers that. The staff was responding to our requests, were courteous and prompt in response. They were ready to bend sideways to make us comfortable. Also, while the food may not be that great but still the views were marvelous. The platform covered two rotations during the meal and showed us a part of the history in every movement. If for nothing else, the restaurant deserves a visit just for the sake of this awesome view.

We would recommend everyone to give this place a try if they are looking for a place for a casual meal and a good ambiance.
