Exploring Mussorie, A heaven in Uttarakhand

It was the month of November 2018 and Delhi was just welcoming the cool winter. The heat and humidity during the summer season in the national Capital is very worst to experience. On May 23 2018 the National Capital experienced all-time high temperature of 43 degree Celsius. Since I belong to a place called Darjeeling where the average temperature remains below 10 degree Celsius through out the year, it was pretty tough for me to aclimatise with the heat of Delhi. I was physically, mentally retarded and this had reached the pinnacle during the month of November. The hectic work schedules in rapport with the excessively high temperature were the reason that made to think about a short vacation or break.
I discussed with my companions and made a plan to visit Nainital but it could succeed because of the long distance from Delhi, so we finally made up our mind to visit Mussoorie which is the nearest Hill stations from Delhi. On November 30 2018 , at 5p.m I booked an Enova and we headed towards Mussorie at about 6P.M.




The trip was not preplanned and Structured, so the important thing for us was to book a hotel for our stay. Thanks to my friend Rohit from Karnataka who is very active in such things. He took just 10 minutes, and the booking for our place of stay was confirmed in The Paradise Lodge. We reached Dehradoon at 12.30Am, and from there it took nearly 2 hours to reach Mussoorie, however it doesn't take that much time to reach Mussoorie from Dehradun. Our Driver was a Delhiites , so they are less experienced to drive the car in the hilly areas. Mussorie was completely the first visit of all of us, we reached at 2.45Am. The whole Mussorue was under the fog, so it was really difficult for us to reach the hotel. It took 15minutes to reach The Paradise Hotel from Mall Road. We checked in the hotel and directly went t beds we were feeling lethargic because of the 9 hours journey.
The next day we woke up at 7A.M and took help of the Google to find out the famous tourist spots located at Mussorie. Our 1st Choice was the Kempty Falls.



KEMPTY FALLS:

It takes nearly 20minutes reach this place from the Mall Road. We hired a local car and went to this site. We had to park the vehicle in the Road side. From there we moved downstairs via a small beautiful market. Won't can either go by foot or by cable car. As it was very adventurous for us, so we chose to go by the cable Car.It took 3 minutes to reach the falls. As my belonging a of a hilly station Darjeeling which is at much bigger height than Mussorie, so it was not a new experience for me but my friends enjoyed out there. I was also very much exuberant and relaxed. We spend nearly 3 hours, capture the glimpse in the smartphone and returned back to the Mall Road. Mussorie main town is very beautiful and has a heterogeneous cultural fragrance in thenMarket. We decided to do some jam, and enquired the local people about the Bar.They recommended us a Tibetan Cafe where we could Jam. We bought a drink and went to that Cafe. The owner of that Tibetan Resturant was very much decent and was also very good guitarist. I accompanied him and played some jingles. We spend good time over there. My friends tried pork momo and some of Tibetan appetites. At 1A.m we returned to the hotel, and made a plan to visit some other good places i Mussorie the next day.



LAL TIBBA, THE HIGHEST POINT IN MUSSORIE.


On the day one, the hotel authorities had recommended me to visit Lal Tibba. So the next site we planned to explore was Lal Tibba. At around 9.A.M we did a shopping in the Mall Road and hired a taxi for Lal Tibba. Jesus! the taxi was fortunately an Ambassador. I always had a desire to experience a ride in an Ambassador which is one among the antique vehicles considered in our country. It took 25minutes to reach Lal Tibba however if the roads would have been not a narrow bent upward sloped then it takes hardly 15minutes. A beautiful restaurant is located at Lal Tibba. The specialty about this place is the panoramic view whole Mussoorie that one can experience from here. Mussorie looks like a beautiful girl smiling at you when seen from here. The temperature difference between the Mall Road and Lal Tibba can be experienced because of its position in a much greater height and position.
We enjoyed a lot at Lal Tibba and I still think about a very beautiful mansion located there which i got know was constructed during the times of British Rule in India. In almost all the hill stations in India one can find the remains of art duly built by the British people in India. The hillstations were the place of exhilaration for them. Many missionary schools and churches still can be found in these places which confess the British model of Governance till to date.




There are various other tourist spots located in Mussorie but those sites made a very little impact on me. Kempty Falls and Lal Tibba are the two most preferred and liked places by the Tourists.
We were left with very few days of holiday so could not stay long in the Mussorie. On the day when we were about to return back , all of us visited Lal Bahadur sashtri Training Academy is considered as one of the most esteemed institutions in India. The training for IAS is carried out over here. Any civil service aspirants have a dream to be an integral part of training in this institute. This place made a different mark in our memories. Anyone who visits this place , I believe his or her level of optimism gets invigorated.
We went to Dehradoon by local Taxi. We had a plan to stay for at least one day in Dehradoon but could not manage because of our tight Schedule. We spend 2 hours in Dehradoon main City areas. We had food in one of the best hotels considered at Dehradoon.
I booked an Ola Outstation Cab . At 6 P.M we returned back to Delhi. We reached Delhi at 12:45A.M. so This is all about our small but memory ble trip to Mussorie. At an affordable budget one can easily cover up the coverup the entire trip of Mussorie. The best thing is, the rates of Hbeleved Fares of Taxi are very much cheaper as compared to other Places.


I believe whenever one feels dizzy and drousiness because of the hectic work schedules, then the only solution to get rid of lethargic attitude is to reignite the mood of your soul. The beauty of Nature has a natural power that can make any one Exuberant, Lively and Cheerfull .
