The wetlands in Florida, USA are the most well-known everglades, but Noosa is home to the only other everglades in the world. And where Florida is known for alligators, in Noosa you'll find much more friendly flora and fauna—in fact, the Noosa Everglades are home to 44% of Australia's bird species. Kayak along the everglades for a self-guided tour through this unique biome or join a cruise along a purpose-built vehicle and relax as you float along the stunning waters. Dense plant life borders either side of the river, creating the sense that you're almost in another world, far away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The Sunshine Coast is full of small towns with charming attractions, and one of the best is the Ginger Factory. Take a tour of the factory itself and taste some of the locally grown and harvested ginger. Try it in a range of ginger products and discover your favourite way to eat ginger. You can buy some ginger to take home on your way out if you like so that you can keep the ginger fun going. Of course, the Ginger Factory is also home to the iconic Ginger Train and the Overboard Boat Ride. The train takes you a relaxed ride through nine hectares of lush gardens and the boat ride lets you join the gingerbread man as he travels around the world and enjoys music and animated puppetry. The Ginger Factory is a great spot to stop at with kids and for a meal and maybe a scoop of handmade ice cream.Beaches
Like a lot of the Australian coast, the Sunshine Coast region is home to some amazing beaches. No trip to sunny Queensland is complete without wandering along the beach. Go for a dip in the warmer months or just enjoy the stunning scenery on those colder days. Beaches like Bullcock Beach, Kings Beach, Coolum Beach, Cotton Tree, and Moffat Beach are some great starting points, but there are plenty of great beaches to explore just waiting for you to find them.
