Are you planning a trip to Sunshine Coast? It's the perfect destination with a mix of everything you need in a vacation destination. Check out the major tourist attractions.

The Sunshine Coast has it all. Pristine beaches, natural wonders, action-packed adventures and more. No matter the reason for your trip, there are so many things to do on the Sunshine Coast to enjoy the perfect holiday.

Wander along Hastings Street

Hastings Street is the bustling heart of Noosa Heads. Discover boutique shopping, nearby stunning beaches, and great food. Experience award-winning restaurants, cafés, and bars. Don't forget to grab an ice cream cone from the ice creamery for a sweet treat before wandering along the beach. Or head into the boutique stores and discover unique labels, designer jewellery, organic beauty products, and more.

Rick's Garage

You might not expect to find a 50's style diner on the sunshine coast, but that's exactly what Rick's is. The diner is like stepping back in time into 1950's Queensland. You'll find rockabilly music, hot rods, pin-up dresses and more. Quality food, a fun atmosphere, and entertainment for the whole family completes the experience. Visit here on the right night, and you'll enjoy live music too. Complete your evening with a night cap at Rick's Whiskey Bar.

Australia Zoo

Home of the late Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin - the Australia Zoo is one of the most impressive zoos Australia has to offer. Not only is it a wonderful, educational experience, it's also heavily involved in conservation missions to ensure that the next generation can get up close and personal with the animals as well. You can see reptiles, mammals, birds, and more. Get hands-on and feed some of the animals. A trip to the zoo is a memorable experience for all ages and one of the best things to do on the Sunshine Coast.

Noosa National Park

Some of the most amazing beaches can be found within the Noosa National Park. The protected land means wonderful and pristine secluded beaches. On the way to the coast, you'll go through open woodlands full of native flora and fauna. Noosa National park is home to vulnerable and endangered wildlife, like the glossy black cockatoo, ground parrot, koala, red goshawk, and more. Remember to be careful as you journey through the park to help protect the wildlife. Drive in and then head out on foot or on a bike along the many trails within the park. The Coastal Walk offers impressive views to the left and right as you take in the forestry and the ocean.

The Everglades

The wetlands in Florida, USA are the most well-known everglades, but Noosa is home to the only other everglades in the world. And where Florida is known for alligators, in Noosa you'll find much more friendly flora and fauna—in fact, the Noosa Everglades are home to 44% of Australia's bird species. Kayak along the everglades for a self-guided tour through this unique biome or join a cruise along a purpose-built vehicle and relax as you float along the stunning waters. Dense plant life borders either side of the river, creating the sense that you're almost in another world, far away from the hustle and bustle of city life. If you do book a kayak tour along the river, be sure to stop along the way and enjoy a picnic lunch on the water's edge and make the most of your day on the water.

Ginger Factory

The Sunshine Coast is full of small towns with charming attractions, and one of the best is the Ginger Factory. Take a tour of the factory itself and taste some of the locally grown and harvested ginger. Try it in a range of ginger products and discover your favourite way to eat ginger. You can buy some ginger to take home on your way out if you like so that you can keep the ginger fun going. Of course, the Ginger Factory is also home to the iconic Ginger Train and the Overboard Boat Ride. The train takes you a relaxed ride through nine hectares of lush gardens and the boat ride lets you join the gingerbread man as he travels around the world and enjoys music and animated puppetry. The Ginger Factory is a great spot to stop at with kids and for a meal and maybe a scoop of handmade ice cream.

Beaches

Like a lot of the Australian coast, the Sunshine Coast region is home to some amazing beaches. No trip to sunny Queensland is complete without wandering along the beach. Go for a dip in the warmer months or just enjoy the stunning scenery on those colder days. Beaches like Bullcock Beach, Kings Beach, Coolum Beach, Cotton Tree, and Moffat Beach are some great starting points, but there are plenty of great beaches to explore just waiting for you to find them.

You won't be bored in Queensland with so many amazing things to do on the Sunshine Coast.
