My experience on Nepal Tour

Here is a Nepal tour experience. If you are planning to visit Nepal, you can get some travel tips from here.

We started here from Srirangam Ranganathaswamy temple. We planned to visit Muktinath Temple in Nepal and some holy places there and also in India. We reached Gorakhpur through Rapthisagar Express and from there we arranged a travel bus to Nepal. We reached Pokhara in Nepal directly first. There we stayed for a day and visit Muktinath Temple which is one of the holy 108 temples of SriVishnu. We reached there through Helicopter arranged in Manang Airlines. We need a passport or any other document that proves you as Indian Citizen and a passport size photograph to enter in Nepal. Just for checking in the border. In Airlines they will check your Indian Citizenship and the document approved at the Nepal-India Border. With the helicopter it took 20 minutes to travel to Nepal Muktinath temple from Pokhara. Not much cold temperature there in the month of June-July. But it is adviced to take sugar candy or gelusil tablet. Some steps are there from the entrance arch to reach the main temple. There is a small white stone sculpture in the right side while stepping to the temple. There is also a SriVaishnavite small mutt is there in the left side while stepping where there is always yagya is performed and must visit once according to the tradition. Before entering into the temple there are 108 Gomukhs are there to take the holy bath in the Kandaki River water. It is more chilled and we must be very careful while bathing. Then photos, mobile phones, electronic items are strictly prohibited inside the sanctum sanctorum. We can touch the god and make poojas and offer our worship there. Then we again reached Pokhara. In the evening we went to Fewa Lake and a beautiful Garden near the lake. We can enjoy the reality of nature there. Then we started to Devghat (it is a remote place after Narayan Ghat) where 9 holy rivers including Ganges are mixed here with Kandaki and Narayani River. There is a LakshmiNarayan temple there which will give place to stay and cook. We had our breakfast and lunch there. There are ancient historical places are there in this area like Vashishta's Cave where he did penance, Valmiki Ashram and Sri Kurmaadrinaath temple where the Lord Vishnu in His second incarnation form where the Lord is fully made up of Shaaligramas(holy stones formed in the Kandaki River). Then we reached Kathmandu in the same day evening and stayed there in a hotel. There we visited Budha Nilkanth (or Jala Narayan temple) where Lord Sri Vishnu in the five headed serpent amidst of water , Sri Krishna temple and Changu Narayan temple (very good art and architecture, excellent sculptures are here). Really Nepal is not only a holy place but also a place where we can enjoy the nature as always some fog and few drops of rain. We must arrange a guide or can contact Nepal Tourism board for the details and for a booklet containing guidelines.
